Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Monday arrested Khurrum Yousuf and Nasir Janjua for their alleged involvement in making a controversial video of former Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Arshad Malik after a cyber crime court refused to grant them pre-arrest bail. Hearing the pre-arrest bail plea of both the suspects, Cyber Crime Court Judge Tahir Mehmood dismissed the plea after hearing the arguments of both prosecution and defence counsels and resultantly, the FIA arrested them. The FIA prosecutor also produced the investigation report before the court which the agency had earlier submitted before the Supreme Court.

Arguing before the court, defence counsel Raja Rizwan Abbasi said that as per the FIA's investigation report, the video was recorded by Nasir Butt and his client has nothing to do with it.

The judge asked whether the report has the name of Janjua. On this, the defence counsel said that there is nothing in the report which shows that his client has been accused of anything. Abbasi said that the Agency has not produced any evidence against his client and he has only been nominated by the petitioner (the former judge). If bail is granted to his clients, they would join the investigation and prove their innocence. He further said that the people nominated in the first information report (FIA), which was lodged for making the controversial video public, did not include the names of Janjua or Yousuf.
